Sustainable soils are dependent on a complex web of inter-connected political, economic and scientific factors. In order to bring structure to the issue and to direct our future activities, we have identified three priority work streams which require specific expert scrutiny, research and debate, namely:
1. Monitoring & Metrics
2. Training, research & Education
3. The Economics of Soil
The choice of work-streams reflects feedback from our events and identification by our members of the areas requiring particular scrutiny, research and debate. In addition to the ongoing work of delivering soil recovery and health, the work-streams contribute to key milestones on the roadmap to soil recovery – one of the first being the Step-change Conference on Soil Health provisionally scheduled for 2019.
